LEVER Architecture - CLT at Albina Yard
Cross laminated timber is generating much buzz as a game-changing building material that has a lighter carbon footprint, high strength to weight ratio and allows for quick on-site assembly. Albina Yard, located in the vibrant Mississippi district, is the first office building in the U.S. to feature American made cross-laminated timber. Stop by and visit this catalytic project that will reshape the future of tall wood buildings in Portland and beyond. LEVER Architecture, the architect behind this mass timber building, and Reworks, the contractor/developer, are excited to share this project during Design Week Portland. We'll also talk about our other ongoing works including Framework, the winner of a $1.5 million prize awarded by the U.S. Tall Wood Building Competition. Refreshments will be served.
