OFFICE 52 Architecture

Join Michelle LaFoe and Isaac Campbell, the creative founders of OFFICE 52 Architecture, for a catered open house reception to chat with us about design and inspiration. We will be featuring our creative design process with models and an exhibition of drawings in our studio.

O52 is a progressive, interdisciplinary studio practice that works at the intersection of architecture, design, planning, art, materials technology and innovative fabrication techniques. We are dedicated to conceptual rigor and artistic vision in realizing design projects of all scales to create meaningful and inspirational spatial experiences and buildings. Our approach weaves advanced digital processes and new material possibilities with craftsmanship traditions to explore and express ideas. With thoughtful analysis and research and process-based explorations, we rethink basic concepts to create new models of design.

Our work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Oregonian, and has been recognized nationally, including our design for the Nano-Bio-Energy Technologies Building at Carnegie Mellon University, a commission won in an invited national design competition. Recently Michelle was invited to speak at the 2016 College Art Association Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. about sublime transformation with dichroic glass and ceramic frit in the Carnegie Mellon building in relation to the 'Materiality of Glass in Modern and Contemporary Art'.
